She holds a Law Degree and a Diploma as a Legal Adviser to Companies from Universidad Pontificia Comillas<\/strong> (ICADE, E-1), as well as a Master’s Degree in Philosophy<\/strong>.<\/p>

Since joining the State Attorney Corps in 2000<\/strong>, she has held several senior positions, including State Attorney in Toledo; State Attorney before the High Court of Justice and the Courts of Madrid in civil and criminal matters; State Attorney at the Ministry of the Interior; State Attorney before the National High Court; and State Attorney in the Deputy Directorate-General for European Union and International Affairs at the State Secretariat for the European Union (Ministry for Foreign Affairs), position from which she served as Agent of the Kingdom of Spain before the Court of Justice of the European Union<\/strong>.<\/p>

She has served as lead State Attorney under the legal assistance agreements with the Correos Group, Sociedad Estatal Hullera del Norte, S.A. (HUNOSA), and the Independent Authority for Fiscal Responsibility (AIReF), providing legal assistance to their governing bodies on matters of Public Law and European Union law.<\/p>

She has advised public administrations, public business entities, public foundations, and private companies on procurement matters (both public and private), concessions, sanctioning proceedings, property rights and public assets (water, mines, forests, etc.), corporate law, and compliance, taking an active part in boards, internal committees, and supervisory bodies.<\/p>

Since 2018, she has been on voluntary leave from the State Attorney Corps. She has served as of counsel and partner at various law firms in the areas of Dispute Resolution, Litigation and Arbitration, and Public Law.<\/p>

Ver\u00f3nica has been appointed sole arbitrator in arbitrations administered by the Spanish Arbitration Court (CEA) and the Madrid Court of Arbitration (CAM), and, since November 2025, she has been a full member arbitrator of the Civil and Commercial Court of Arbitration (CIMA).<\/p>
